Directors Update – March 2026
Well I for one CANNOT believe we are already mid-March 2026!!!!
It’s been a pretty fun year for riding so far with a couple of Gippy Hog Monthly rides and the Victorian State HOG Rally that some of our Chapter attended in Shepparton. That was a fantastic event ran by the OZ HOG Chapter and they seriously made it one of the best rallies EVER!
If you haven’t been to a rally yet or want to know more about them you can reach out to any of the committee members to get the low down on them.
The South Australian Rally in October is also now open for registration. All the info on this and how to register is in MJ.
The Gippsland Chapter is now officially sponsored by Joe Rascal (Dandenong) and stay tuned for more news on this in the near future.
Membership reminder.
- Membership is due end of March at a cost of $30 and can be paid on MJ.
- We have decided to bring it back in line with our previous September membership timeline so all current members who renew now and all new members who join going forward will be paid up until September 2027.
- Troy (Our Secretary/Membership Officer) will update the timelines in MJ this week to show the change to date end.
- Don’t forget, to be a Chapter member you have to be a paid member of HOG AU. This is a separate payment to HOG AU.

Committee Update/Changes
- OUTGOING – Andy Young is stepping down as Assistant Director at the end of March. I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable contributions whilst in this role. Thank you for the time you have invested and the ideas you have shared especially when we have organised events such as Poker Runs and BBQ’s. You will be missed on the Committee, but we are all very glad you will still be riding with us and pushing the ABCs as always.
- INCOMING – Chris Daley will be taking on the role of Assistant Director from April. Chris has been a Gippsland Chapter member since Oct 2016 and is a very active member who rides/attends most of our events and other Chapter rallies around Australia. We look forward to working with you in this role Chris and trying to beat you at the ABCs.
H.O.G Officer Training (H.O.T)
- Taking place Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July 2026 @ Geelong.
- This is for all Committee members and for those who are going to be taking on a role in the future. All Primary Committee members are encouraged to attend as a minimum.
- Gippsland Chapter members who attend will have their registration reimbursed by the Chapter.
- If you are interested, please let me know and I can send the details/invitation.
Chapter Rides and events.
- I will be updating MJ with the Monthly rides for this year and might add in some random dates also – for example a weekend market.
- If anyone is interested in going to the SA rally in a planned ride with other Gippy HOGS then also reach out so we can add to MJ.
- Feel free to send me ideas/suggestions if you have a hankering for a particular place you want to go to.
